Love, even if it hurts
Even if it means giving everything and getting nothing in return

Even if it hurts to the core

If it means being vulnerable

Even if it means opening the heart to the most powerful being in the universe

Even if the end is unknown

Don't stop loving

For to do that would kill the soul

That would be death of the deepest kind

Open yourself to love

To the love of the universe

The most powerful love of all

But one that wounds

Tears at your heart

Taking everything that must not be there

Taking what seems to be dear

That you must hold on to

It tears you apart
Till there is literally nothing left

But him

Just him

And him alone

In that place it seems so vulnerable

A sorrowful place

Full of pain and suffering

And yet

There is joy

Like roses among the thorns.
